Meet Kate.
Love doesn’t feel the way you imagined.
Fights that leave you feeling ashamed and hung over the next day, that you can’t believe you’re having with your favorite person.
Cold and distant interactions, like two ambassadors from faraway nations negotiating the terms of a dry, technical peace treaty.
Circular conversations where you try your heart out to be heard, then wonder if you should have even bothered saying anything at all.
You’re lonelier than you thought was possible after falling in love.
You’re in the right place.
I offer couples therapy for people who want to understand what’s happening underneath the cycles of pain, anger, withdrawal, passive aggression, and hopelessness.
Because the fight is rarely just about the dishes, the tone, the text, the in-laws, the money, the sex, or who did or did not unload the dishwasher.
It’s about what happens beneath the surface.
I go deeper than assigning “I feel” statements, teaching communication scripts, or reducing normal human experiences to a clinical label. With my experiential, somatic approach, we can decode the language of locked jaws, crossed arms, pleading hands, shifting glances, silence that lands like a punishment, jokes that aren’t really jokes.
Whether you’ve learned to deal with everything in silence or tried to scream out your needs over and over, we can transform your relationship into something much more honest, alive, and satisfying than just trying not to set each other off.
Not because you study how to communicate perfectly or ignore your pain, but because you can finally meet each other in a way that changes everything.
Because you cared enough to try.
If you want to get a feel for my voice and how I think about this work, you can explore more of my writing here.
You might work well with me if...
You’re a couple that’s been through hell and wants peace more than perfection
Your arguments escalate fast, shut down completely, or leave one or both of you feeling ashamed afterward
You’ve dealt with infidelity, betrayal, broken trust, or resentment that will not magically leave the room
One of you pursues, the other withdraws, and you’re both exhausted by the pattern
You come from families where love, anger, loyalty, silence, guilt, or survival got tangled together
