Meet Young.

You've gotten good at performing. Meeting the benchmarks, saying the right things, looking like you have it together. But somewhere underneath all of that, something feels off and you can't quite name it.

Whether you're an adolescent carrying the weight of family expectations or an adult who's been running on empty for longer than you'd like to admit, I offer something different: a place to stop optimizing and actually breathe.

My path to therapy wasn't a straight line. I spent years working as a data scientist before I found my way here, so I have a firsthand sense of what it feels like to operate in high-pressure, logic-driven environments.

I'm also a second-generation Korean American, which means I understand the immigrant family dynamic from the inside: the unspoken sacrifices, the weight of the model minority myth, the tension that builds when your path starts to diverge from what was expected of you.

I don’t believe therapy should be a mystery, and I’m not here to just nod and reflect your thoughts back to you. My style is direct, honest, and pragmatic. We look at the "blueprints" of your life. By exploring the early patterns and attachments that shaped how you learned to protect yourself, we can make sense of why you’re feeling stuck today.

But insight is only half the battle. Our sessions are oriented toward real movement. We bridge the gap between "knowing" and "shifting" by focusing on a few core areas:

  • Getting Out of Your Head: You might be someone who can analyze your feelings in detail but still can’t change them. We use somatic techniques to pay attention to where stress is living in your body, specifically the places your logic can’t reach.

  • Finding Practical Steps: We focus on the "what now?" I help you move from Point A to Point B with solution-focused tools that work in your actual, daily life.

  • Naming the Truth: If I notice a pattern that is holding you back, I’ll name it. My goal is for you to leave our sessions with something tangible: a new perspective, a clear boundary, or a genuine sense of relief.

You might work well with me if…

  • Insight isn't enough. You understand your patterns but can't break the loop. You're looking for real change, not just more self-awareness.

  • Achievement was your family’s language of love. You're ready to untangle your own desires from the high expectations you grew up with.

  • The "work you" feels like a stranger. You're successful in a demanding career but feel disconnected from who you're underneath the performance.

  • You want a therapist who will be straight with you. You're not looking for someone to just validate everything you say. You want to actually be challenged.

  • You're part of the Asian American community and you're tired of having to explain the context. You want a space where certain things are already understood. That includes the weight of racial trauma — the microaggressions, the invisibility, the moments that are hard to name but impossible to forget.

  • You're a man who’s spent most of his life handling it alone. You learned early that vulnerability is a weakness and you've performed strength for too long.
